Spectra has increased load times for page editor significantly

  • I had a hard time finding out why my page editor was loading so slow despite barely using any spectra blocks in posts. It used to be good but since 2,3 weeks it has absolutely ruined the WordPress editor for me with such high loading times, I checked my php settings/version and whatnot but surprised to see it was spectra plugin causing it. Needless to say I deactivated the plugin and issue was resolved, I was only using spectra for table of contents block but went on to delete spectra and add a light-weight plugin specifically for table of contents.

    It’s been a while since we heard from you. I request you let us know whether you are still experiencing issues with the Spectra plugin.

    We would like you to know that we have worked on improving the plugin and fixing any bugs users reported and we can say at the moment we haven’t received any alarming issues except those that are site-specific.

    Thank you, but I have moved on. I was only using it for few blocks instead of as a page builder. Instead of using Spectra to use just its few blocks, using plugins that have 1,2 block is better and lighter.
