    Hey Daan,
Congrats on the baby last summer. This plugin is great.
I was wondering about the load time and I changed to experimnental but there wasn’t the normal asking to manually “redo” the script.
Here is a short video asking 2 questions on that:

Thank you and happy new year!

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks! Emma’s doing great. ?? Almost 6 months old now ??

Okay, so your questions consist of a few parts. And I’ll go thru it one by one:

    • The reason why CAOS isn’t prompting you to update Analytics.js is, because you’re using Minimal Analytics. Which doesn’t load any external JS library. Just a small snippet directly in your page source ??
    • The caos proxy API endpoint is triggered, because you have Stealth Mode Lite enabled. It’s correct that this takes longer on some systems. This is because it’s built upon WordPress’ core. CAOS Super Stealth Upgrade includes an even faster plugin handling mode that basically circumvents WordPress’ core to send the data to Google Analytics. You can read more about that here.
    • The best way to test if the experimental mode is working for you, is: Open up your Google Analytics dashboard and go to Realtime. Then temporarily enable ‘Track logged in Administrators’ in Basic Settings and Visit the frontend of your site.
If a hit comes up from your area, you’re golden. ?? Just to be sure, flush your site’s caches and disable any ad blockers (Stealth Mode Lite can still be blocked by some ad blockers).

Hope it helps! Let me know if you need anything else!
