Speed issue

Version? link to web site? Difficult to get any help without some basic info.

Try without having social icons on for a minute. I see an FB connect error coming up.

That’s weird – according to the ‘social’ sub-menu within the ‘design’ menu, all social icons were already turned off

Shall I try turning them on? Or is there somewhere else I need to look to turn them off?

I’m using Design Three by the way

Yerr try that. Try to eliminate the issue. I keep seeing this

If you have social type plugins running on your canonical version , try to deactivate those too for a moment.

Just did another test and you are loading 700KB in one set of fonts – PT_Serif-Web-Regular.ttf . That is heavy and on a waterfall they are taking for ever to load.

I’ve activated/deactivated social plugins on the AMP version and canonical version and it doesn’t seem to make a difference

In terms of fonts, I’m not sure what that means or how to fix it?

Any other ideas?

Got to the bottom of it for you in that it is not the code itself. Made a complete copy of your page page and put it on my server. Loads instantly. This points towards a server issue for me. Don’t forget I am rendering an html copy so no DB calls per se but all the external calls are in place to images, js etc. Points to something to do with your server and DB for me.

Thanks, I don’t really understand

I thought that AMP pages were stored on Google’s server rather than on a hosting company’s server?

Also, when you say it’s a server issue do you mean my hosting company’s server?
