• Hi,

I’ve run “Site Performance” under “Labs” in Google Webmaster Tools and receiving information that my website is slower that 91% of sites. I’ve installed Page Speed in Firefox and the report is telling my the site has an 87/100 score. The main thing that seems to be an issue are:

    Leverage browser caching
Serve resources from a consistent URL
    Enable compression
    Combine images into CSS sprites
    Enable Keep-Alive

When I’ve clicked through to the instructions on how to remedy these the technical information provided is hard to understand. I don’t have much of a technical background to it’s beyond my comprehension.

The site is a simple WordPress site running the Genesis framework, can anyone suggest what I should do to speed it up please? I’m already running W3 Total Cache but I have to admit that the settings are quite hard to configure so I may not have optimised them. I potentially may be not be using all parts of Genesis & the child theme too so there may be room for removing some elements. I just don’t know which ones and don’t want to accidentally break anything.

I’d welcome any suggestions and if you have any instructions or articles I should look at, please let me know. Please bear in mind though that my technical knowledge is limited.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Ted

  • Hi!

    Go to: https://www.cloudflare.com/

    Singup >> change your domain’s dns >>

    Wait for at-most 24 hours

& if using genesis theme try these plugins:

    1. WP Super Cache; not W3 total cache (doesn’t works on genesis)
    2. WP Minify
    3. CloudFlare
    4. Use Google Libraries

    Thnx
