Spell check plugin for 2.0.4

  • Is there a good spell check plugin that works with WP 2.0.4? I’ve tried the Google Toolbar, but in Firefox, it screws up the HTML big time and usually locks up the editor, resulting in me losing the post. It’s a pain to write the post in Word, or in Safari (which does not have the Quick Tags toolbar, but does have a built-in spell checker that works with WP).

  • IMO, no. You might want to check out microsoft’s Live Writer, you can compose with spell-checking, upload as draft and make any last minute fixes in WP’s regular post editor.

    FWIW I use the google spell checker in FX 1.5.0.7 (WinXPsp2) and don’t have any problems (long as I remember to ‘exit’ it before posting (what a mess that makes!)).
