This seems pretty important if it’s to replace the editor. It seems to have disabled my automatic spell checker and my plugin after the deadline no longer can review the box.

Do you know if there is anyway to get spell checking working?

Also, will you support other codemirror plugins? (zencoding would make rapid post formatting much easier for example)

    Thanks!

    justinhammack,

Are you using a third party tool for spell checking? What is that plugin? Do you have a link to the zencoding plugin so I can look at it for compatibility?

I was just using the built-in spell checker in Chrome. After a little reading up, it looks like code mirror prevents the built-in spell checker from working.

Someone recommended integrating the typo.js plugin.

On the codemirror homepage, they recommend this plugin for ZenCoding.

I tried to get it integrated, but didn’t have any luck. Also, I created a little patch to enable typekit, so I could control the font settings and pull in a bunch of sans-mono fonts. It might be cool to do the same thing but with google-fonts api.

    justinhammack,

I took some time to play around with the typo.js plugin and was not able to get it to work. I will keep working on it to see if I can come up with something, but I don’t have any guarantees that it will work.
