Spellchecker Error

  • Can someone tell me if there is an issue with the WordPress spellchecker, I seem to be getting an error every time I try to spell check anything?
    I get an error dialogue with the whole page code with ‘Error response: <!doctype html>’ at the beginning of the code.
    I’ve checked this on several sites and it seems to be an issue with WP version and not conflicting plugins.
