Hi, so I’m having issues with emails from PayPal processed appointments not being sent, so we’re unaware of these coming in. I ran a test email and got the following errors.

    spf

Action Needed: It doesn't look like the SPF record required by your SMTP server has been added to your domain. Please contact your SMTP server provider for details on how to find the SPF record, and how to add this record to your domain's

    dmarc

Action Recommended: It doesn't look like DMARC has been set up on your domain (mobilemuseumofart.com). We recommend using the DMARC protocol because it helps protect your domain from unauthorized use. Please check out our step by step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain's DNS.

I followed this article and was able to get a DMARC record added, and I’m waiting on it to come through. However, I’m hitting a wall with the spf record. Can someone point me in the right direction? TIA

    Hi @mobilemuseumofart,

Thanks for reaching out! If you’re using your web host’s email platform, please get in touch with their support and ask them to set up your SPF record.

If you’re using Google Workspace, Office 365, or any other email platform, you need to check their documentation on how you can implement an SPF record.

I hope this helps. Thanks! ??

Hey, @darshanaw! Thanks for your reply. I fixed those errors, but I’m still running into certain emails not showing up. This is the error I get, “Mailer: Other SMTP SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.” Any ideas on what the issue could be?

    Hi @mobilemuseumofart,

Thanks for getting in touch! The error indicates that your site isn’t able to authenticate you with the provided SMTP credentials. There could be some reasons for SMTP authentication failure, your mail server could be down, your SMTP credentials are incorrect, SMTP authentication is not enabled for your account, your webserver is placing a firewall to block the SMTP connection. Please contact your web host provider with the full SMTP error log (https://a.supportally.com/YUndL9) and they should be able to resolve that

Alternatively, you could switch to another mailer. We have documentation on each of our available mailers: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/a-complete-guide-to-wp-mail-smtp-mailers/

    I hope this helps!
