• Yet another free events calendar plugin that does not work.

Plugin settings and options are easy to use and this one even comes with a link to the User Manual, equally easy to use and follow (thanks for this).

Followed instructions, created a calendar, created events, created a calendar page, added the suggested short code…then go to the page and the calendar is badly formatted and looks NOTHING like the example calendar themes advertised and CANNOT modify through the plugin.

The 17 standard calendar templates are disabled for the non-commercial version as are the widget themes.

This plugin promises the world and yet is unusable unless you upgrade (PAY) for the full version. Even then there’s no guarantees to it even working.

We are a small community club that survives on the efforts of volunteers without a lot of funding.

I challenge anyone at Web-Dorado to provide support and help solve this issue to get ONE calendar theme to work in WordPress 3.8.1 using Twenty Eleven theme.

    Dear sufcweb,

We have just checked the theme in our free version and it doesn’t have any issues. Can you give us link to your calendar page?

    Thanks for getting back.

    Text on the page is:
    [Spider_Calendar id=”1″ theme=”1″ default=”month” select=”month,list,week,day,”]

    Dear sufcweb,

The link of website you gave us is under construction. We weren’t able to have a look at your calendar. Please check it.

    Hi webdorado,

I have deactivated my landing page coming soon plugin to allow you to look at the Calendar page.

Please let me know when you’ve assessed it. Thanks.

    Dear sufcweb,

Most probably you are using the free version but you have inserted the id of a theme which is available in Pro version only. Please change the theme id =”1″ to theme id=”13″ and your issue will be fixed. Your shortcode should look like this: [Spider_Calendar id=”1″ theme=”13″ default=”month” select=”month, list, week, day,”]

    Hi webdorado,

    That’s fixed it. Thanks.

Can I change the colours of theme id 13 to match our site’s colour scheme? If so…can you please let me know how and where?

Feedback re the ‘Month’ view…when the web browser window is reduced in width, the calendar shrinks with it…great. But if the browser window width is reduced beyond a certain amount, the ‘Month’ view does not shrink any further, it’s like it’s reached its shrinking limit, and the last day in the week (Sa) is obscured from view. Any ideas?

Also, is there a way to set Mo (Monday) as the start of the week day?

Now I can’t add any new Event Categories or Edit existing Event Categories…the admin screen area goes blank when clicking ‘Add a Category’ from Event Cetegories. Any ideas?

‘Add a Calendar’ works ok from Calendars.

It would still be nice to get this plugin to work. Thanks.

    Dear sufcweb,

If you want to make some changes in your theme or change the options like “Start of the week”, you should purchase the Pro version as they are available only in Pro version.
Our product is responsive on all mobile devices and tablets. Most probably you have reduced the width too much hence it is not showing some parts of the calendar.
As for the issue with adding categories, please give us (to [email protected]) admin access to your site, by indicating the forum post link in your email subject. We’ll try to fix the problem as soon as possible.
