Spinner icon appears, media library doesn't load since 4.5.1

  • I have updated a number of sites to 4.5.1 and since then, any default WP image galleries in the content editor just show a progress bar and never the tumbnails, when you click ‘add media’ or ‘set featured image’ the media library pops up but no images appear.

    The spinner icon just keeps going and the media library does not load.

    Any help would be appreciated.
