Contact Forms Stuck at Validation

We have a site with contact forms on it and when the user submits the for the loading wheel will sit and spin next to the submit button.
The email is being received by the contact although they will receive multiple copies as the user clicks submit multiple times or refills out the form thinking it didn’t send.
It seems as if the form gets stuck at validation.
