Hi there, I am getting a spinning checkout issue whenever a payment is made via stripe.

I have triple checked the stripe details and the connection and webhooks are all correct.

I am getting a console error though when it spins:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()
give.js?ver=2.19.1:1 [iFrameSizer][Host page: iFrameResizer0] Ignored iFrame, already setup.
    S @ give.js?ver=2.19.1:1

I have disabled all other plugins and tried using a default theme but the issue remains.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • I too am getting issues with this. It’s causing the entire website to hang whilst trying to load stripe which then errors.

It’s not even related to the donation page, the entire site is suffering with this.

    Hi @gilesholder,

A 500 error indicates a PHP fatal error somewhere but your server error log file will have a copy of the exact error message that can provide some clues as to what happened.

Please send a copy of the error log file. You should be able to find it through your cPanel (if available) or in the logs folder of your root installation. Your host might also provide a copy.

99% of the time the error is caused by caching. To test this hypothesis, temporarily disable any caching on your site and test again.

@daniel-alcorn it seems like your issue is slightly different so please open a new support ticket and include as many details as possible. Screenshots or video of the issue help a lot and don’t forget to include your system information (Donations -> Tools -> System info).

    Thanks!

We’ve confirmed that this is a bug for folks connected to Stripe using the Api Keys method, and Rick’s woraround above should resolve it.

Here’s the spot to follow along on the fix, which should be coming out today: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/connecting-stripe-via-api-keys-should-not-cause-invalid-stripe-account-id-error

    Thanks!

    Hi Rick/Ben,

I have installed the new update 2.19.2

Disconnected and reconnected Stripe (just a precaution)

I was using Siteground optimizer however this has been disabled and no caching is active.

The error still appears the same for me.

I have checked my server error logs and there is nothing there recently (last 10 days)

Give Logs show that the webhook to Stripe is working.

    Any other ideas?

    Giles
