• Hi all,

I recently tried out CF7 in a “practice WP installation” and it seems great. Worked without issues while I was learning how to use it.

This morning I moved the WP directory up to my main directory, and the form now gets stuck on the spinning icon next to the send button.

Nothing else has changed except that I moved the WP directory. Not sure if reinstalling the plugin will do it, but I’ll probably try that now.

Edit: Error when trying to save page: “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

Edit: Reinstalled plugin and still getting spinning icon.
Edit: Same result in Chrome and Safari

    Any suggestions appreciated!

  • The spinning arrow is a common sign of a JavaScript conflict.

Switch temporarily (nothing will be lost when you switch back) to a WP default theme & disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7 to see if the problem goes away.

If it does you can switch back to your theme & re-activate each plugin one by one to see when the problem occurs.
