Having a problem with a spinning wheel displaying on the cart icon, and the cart can’t be accessed using the icon. Forever loading. Everything was working fine yesterday and no changes were made to the website.

We have found that if we visit the /cart/ page it will display correctly and the purchase can continue; and in the Advanced options, the correct “cart” page is selected.

Anything we should be looking at? Clearing cache or disabling PayPal payments also didn’t solve the issue. Thank you.

From what I understand, you’re having a bit of trouble with the spinning wheel on your cart icon which seems to be in a never-ending loading loop. This is despite the fact that you haven’t made any changes to your website recently and the /cart/ page is working fine when accessed directly. I see you’ve already tried clearing the cache and disabling PayPal payments but to no avail.

Let’s try a few more troubleshooting steps:

    1. Verify your WooCommerce version: Ensure you’re running the most recent version of WooCommerce. If you’re not, I recommend updating it.
    2. Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce: This will help us find out if there’s a conflict with another plugin causing the issue. If the issue disappears after deactivating the plugins, reactivate them one by one to identify the culprit.
    3. Switch to a default WordPress theme: Try switching temporarily to a default WordPress theme like Storefront to see if the issue persists. If it disappears, the issue might be with your current theme. Here’s a handy guide on how to test for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts
    4. Look for JavaScript errors: JavaScript errors could be causing this issue. Use the browser’s developer console to check for these errors. If you find any, please share them with us. ?? Here’s more info on Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors

?? Just a quick reminder: Before you make any changes, we strongly recommend that you create a backup of your full site and database. This is a crucial step to ensure that in case anything goes wrong, you can easily restore your site to its previous, functioning state.

If none of these steps work, could you please share your site’s System Status with us? It will give us a better understanding of your site’s setup and help us identify the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Also, if there are any fatal error logs, please share those with us as well. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you have that, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com/ to paste it and share the link with us.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter. I’m looking forward to your response so we can solve this issue for you.

Firstly thank you very much for your reply.

    1. We have the latest version of Woocommerce.
    2. I am hesitant to try this because we’re running a webshop and by deactivating all plugins we’ll be essentially taking down the entire website. Is there any log I could share instead?
    3. Same as above.
    4. I actually do get some errors, see below:

    Hi there @nchfrc ??

Thank you for reaching back, with further information on this!

Having a problem with a spinning wheel displaying on the cart icon, and the cart can’t be accessed using the icon. Forever loading. Everything was working fine yesterday and no changes were made to the website.

I went ahead with visiting the site at https://comprarandamio.es/, and it appears that the spinning icon on the cart icon is consistent. Also on the Cart page.

Below are a couple of screenshots, for reference:

From what I gather, this is theme-related. Based on the logs you are sharing, also.

Did you already have a chance to reach out to the support channel of the currently active Porto theme, or otherwise? They would be in a better position to assist you, as I understand.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

Thank you for your reply. I was finally able to fix the theme license issue we were having and now that the theme is updated, everything is back to working as expected.

    Hi @nchfrc

I was finally able to fix the theme license issue we were having and now that the theme is updated, everything is back to working as expected.

Thank you for your prompt response and for confirming that the issue has been fixed. It’s great to know that updating your theme license eliminated the spinning wheel problem on the cart icon.

Just a friendly reminder – it’s essential to keep your theme and plugins up-to-date for the seamless functioning of your website. These updates often come with vital bug fixes and enhancements that help avoid future issues.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. However, if you ever have more questions or issues in the future, don’t hesitate to kick off a new topic.

We’d be thrilled if you could spare a few minutes to leave us a review at ?? https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews.
