Spinning wheel on submit

HI there. First of all, I have exhausted all efforts to try to resolve this issue before posting. I have viewed many other posts on the issue, but none seem to match my problem.
On submit, the wheel just spins and spins. The emails get delivered, but there’s no confirmation message that used to appear.
I have disabled all other plugins. Only disabling the Really Simple Captcha fixes the issue. I am using the Magazine Premium theme by c.bavota. The Contact form 7 and Really simple Captcha worked fine when the installation was in another directory. When we moved the WordPress installation to the root level of the server, The issues with the spinning wheel occurred.
I have uninstalled and re-installed both Contact form 7 and Really Simple Captcha, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any recommendations for me? Many thanks in advance.
