Split pages links – Page 1 2 3 4 5

    Can the “nextpage” tag be used both in Pages,as well as, Posts?

    Using the “nextpage” tag we can add multi-page links at the bottom –
    Page 1 2 3 4 5. But it seems the same is not possible at the top. How 2 do it?
