Split words is not working as expected. Some words are split, some aren’t

    Hey,

    We’re using wp-typography on a webpage that has some long german words included. One word is Vergleichsunternehmen which we would like to split as Vergleichs-unternehmen and Gegenüberstellung with Gegen-überstellung.

    One word is split as expected and a ­ is included and the other word doesn’t get the split.

    Which possibilities do we have to get this right? Would be awesome to get any advise.

    Did you try to use -(and sign hashtag 173 semicolon) – without parentheses – instead of (and sign shy semicolon) – without parentheses – -…?

    Hi @fr00d, please disable the setting “Hurenkinder verhindern”. If that’s not it, I’d need to see the actual page for a more detailed analysis.
