• Don’t you just hate this: www bloggerology com ?
    It’s a splog using WordPress 1.5.2.

Just how many WordPress splogs are there? It’s the first one I’ve seen.

  • What is a splog?

    Spam Blog

A blog that is used for spamming – in the posts and/or comments. If you look at the one I mentioned, you’ll see links to several spamvertised sites.

?? It just redirects me to a site called Plazoo…..

Read this and then take another look!

OH MY FREAKING GOODNES! You’re right! OMFG! I don’t know why I didn’t see it before. You are absolutely right. I should* be concerned that my PR for my site on writting & life maybe diluted by this splog on Wines, Health Insurance and Plasma Screen TVs.

    WOW.

It isn’t about diluting the PR for your blog; the sole purpose of the splog seems to be to raise the PR for seven web sites which use Google Adsense ads. Nothing original is being created in the splog, just postings made up from news items copied in from elsewhere. Each posting has a link to one of the web sites. Over 800 (probably automated) postings since early September. How useful, interesting or original is that?

I guess I’m such a simple gnome that I don’t get it. Who cares then?

They are no different than some sites that I visit that do nothing more than coallate outside sources into one page or feed it you will.

Splogs, really are worth nothing and act as an additional load on internet, a useless worthless load. But oh well who really cares.

“But oh well who really cares.”

We all should as this is just foul excrement which pollutes the internet for everyone. First of all, report them to Google here:

    https://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html

Then, if you have a blog, write about it. Let all your readers know. Give the bastards some negative publicity.

P.S. As of now, the site no longer works. It produces a totally blank page, which probably means there’s some fatal error encountered in the PHP code.

I wonder what would happen if I started submitting all this Blogger sblogs I keep finding straight to Google? Goodness knows Blogger ain’t getting rid of them. ??

Goto SiteAdvisor, create and account and post a negative review about the offending site. If enough people do that, it will affect the website ranking, eventually turning it into an “untrusted” site.

What about those who don’t trust McAfee?
