Recently we began encountering the following glitch:

    1. We open a post in the WordPress block editor.
    2. We click a link and toggle the Yoast “Sponsored” setting on.
    3. We update the post and the setting is still toggled on.
    4. We close the post.
    5. We reopen the post in the WordPress block editor, and the “Sponsored” toggle has been reset to off.

We reached out to our webhost for support on this, and they suggested it could be an object caching issue. However, the problem persisted even with object caching disabled.

Any guidance on this will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. An issue report is currently open with our development team for this issue.

In the meantime, we would expect the sponsored tag to appear in the source code on the front-end (even if the toggle says differently).

You can view and search in the source code using this guide: https://yoast.com/help/view-page-source-site/

We also suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You may sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/ by scrolling towards the bottom to complete the sign-up field.

Thanks for the reply. I can confirm that the tag is in the source code. I’m not sure why I didn’t think to check that, so thanks for pointing it out.

    Hi @onebigwhale,

Thanks for letting us know it appears. If you have any other questions or issues, you’re welcome to create a new forum topic.
