• Hi,

I’m interested in using SportsPress plugin in a project and I was wondering if there is compatibility with iScout app. iScout is a tool to enter live statistics during a game and then export them in order to import them on a third platform (in our case SportsPress).

Regardless of the iScout compatibility, does the SportsPress import tool have specific needs regarding the csv file for importing player statistics and what are these needs? e.g. column names, order etc… and are these needs fixed or can be changed depending on our needs?

I’m interested for basketball statistics in particular.

Of course if there is any other suggestion or tool for keeping stats during the game, that is compatible with SportsPress, i’m more than pleased to know about it ??

    Thanks,

    Manos

    Hi @mikapa,

You can see our sample CSV here: https://github.com/ThemeBoy/SportsPress/tree/master/dummy-data

There is a third party plugin for Live Scores on SportsPress: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/live-scores-for-sportspress/

    Thanks,

    Hi Savvas,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve already seen these templates, but I was wondering if there is a specific template for basketball statistics (with columns like asists, fouls, turnovers etc). in the “Import Box Score” page there is this template but it is for football (soccer) statistics, with goals, cards etc. Can i use whatever columns i want for basketball or there is a particular template, columns’ order etc?

Regarding the Live scores for SportsPress plugin, I’ve already tested it but what i want is just a way of QUICK input of the statistics during the game (who did the foul, who took the rebound etc). This plugin is more for play by play showing in the website, which is not what I’m interested in. That’s why I asked if there is compatibility with iScout which does exactly that and exports the results in csv.

    Thanks again,

    Hi @mikapa,

Unfortunately you will need to customize the event-importer.php (https://github.com/ThemeBoy/SportsPress/blob/master/includes/admin/importers/class-sp-event-importer.php) to achieve what you want.

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    HI there all,

Has anyone edited this event-importer.php successfully that could help me. I am looking at amending it to import team and players scores for our darts league.

    Cheers
    Justin

    HI Justin!

Please kindly open a new topic if you want any help. But usually we can’t help you with customization requests, so that wouldn’t be considered a support issue.

    Thanks!
