• Hi, we are very close to purchasing sportspress pro. The main reason being is that we are a football club that consists of approx. 10 teams. We have a manager for each of the teams within the club and each manager will be responsible for the content for their team. I am currently confused somewhat with sportspress features. In the rookie demo I see one club and only one team. Is it definitely possible to have numerous teams within our club and assign managers to each of the teams? Has anyone setup a website that consists of more than one team, with the teams being managed by the same club. For example, out team is called parkwyddn. Within the club, parkwyddn we have numerous teams, example, Parkwyddn under 7s, Parkwyddn under 8s, parkwyddn under 9s, right through to under 10’s. Each of these teams will have a manager associated with parkwyddn. There are other clubs which will be added but only because they are part of the league, these are managed by other team managers not associated with parkwyddn. It is important that our managers only have access to their own team. Please help me by confirming all this is possible, even better if anyone has an example of this live working I can see, that would be fantastic. Thank you in advance for the help. Im confused as to how sportspress differentiates a club from a team? thanks.

    Hi!

    Thank you for your message.

It’d be hard to show you a live example as it’s all happening on the wp-admin but this is definitely possible. They only adjustment is having different clubs, instead of just different players lists inside of one club, but I don’t think it would affect too much your setup.

BTW, team and clubs are the same thing, but usually we have players list to differentiate the age groups, for example. In your case a different team for each age group is the way to go

    Kind Regards,

Hi, thanks for the help. I need to convince the club that purchasing the module upgrade to pro is the correct thing to do, hence the questions. I also need to ensure editing / adding is as easy as possible for managers. I need a manager to login to his team, therefore he will only be able to edit / add / delete anything in relation to his team. I have set my teams up as follows. In the menu system I have the main menu ‘Teams’ this is made using a custom link (#) so it is not clickable. The clubs have then been added under this link. I would really appreciate it if you could look at the site and see if you think it is correct how I have done it. I have set up the site numerous times only to find it was incorrect. For example, I need a different calendar for each club. I have teams of various ages as you say, I am interested in understanding how you set up for this using player lists, how would i set up like this if all the players are not known as yet? website: https://www.parkwyddnjfc.uk/

We are part of a football league, I need to add all the teams from our club. All the teams that are in the league, I guess I add them in the same way, even though we do not manage them.

And please can you confirm, the manager of the U7’s Predators team is able to login to his team and his team alone. So, he can only amend / edit / add etc for U7’s predators and will have no access to other teams.

Thank you so much for your help, apologies the message is so long.

    Hi!

The menu has no effect on the club manager function, so you can create that in any way as you want.

As for the age groups, in order to have managers with access to only a age group you’ll need to create different teams for one team, otherwise this won’t work as planned (many managers will have access to the same club, for example)

“And please can you confirm, the manager of the U7’s Predators team is able to login to his team and his team alone. So, he can only amend / edit / add etc for U7’s predators and will have no access to other teams.”
    Yes, that is correct.

We do have other roles in case you want (for example a league manager that has access to all clubs), but the club manager will only see his / her own club

    Kind Regards,
