Sportspress – Table tennis

aha, important question, as you can see above every team has 2 players (as above Player A1, Player A2, Player B1, etc…).

So, if I want league JUST FOR PLAYERS (which are part of teams) and I want to have event calendar and table results JUST FOR PLAYERS, where should I add players into:
– Sportspress – Players – Add Player or
– Sportspress – Teams – Add Team ?

Please keep in mind that it is MUCH better if you break down multiple issues into different topics. Otherwise, it can get long and confusing.

Let me reply to the main question here (how to setup 2 league tables) and please open new topics in case you want help with the other questions.

In your case, probably the easiest setup is having a player list for player rankings, and a league table for team rankings.

The key here is to add each individual matchup as a separated event (so in your case you’d have 5 events for the individual matchups). Then you can use another event or a competition to tie these together.

If adding 5 events is too much work, then you’ll probably need player stats to correctly record each of your matchups.

To be honest, this is quite a complex setup, but if you want we can guide you through it, we just need to ask a few more questions about your core setup so we can provide you the right path.

Ok, I will add teams over sportspress-team-add team.

Where to add players? Same to sportpress-teams-add team or over sportspress-player-add player?

Also for teams and players must be same or different league name?

Just for info its not a prb for me adding 5 events for each team match – as you wrote me. So 4 events will be for single results and 1 for team result.

The event themselves are added as usual events. Events > Add new

– HOW?

For each of your matchups you’ll create a competition or sub-competition.

So for example if you have a round of team A against team B, you can add that as a competition. This allows you to add that competition to your events (the “where” we mentioned earlier) and this allows you to get these events from a single point with our shortcodes:

HI, sorry but I don’t follow you, you write to much global – not specific. So, once again , here is my issue – if you can help me:

once I wrote and now back on it because I could not figure out. Anyway we have 2 leages in table tennis – TEAM LEAGUE and SINGLE LEAGUE.

in link you can see our website, where you can see 2 tabs (i would like to have all with your plugin):
BNTL ekipno = TEAMS LEAGUE
BNTL posamezno = SINGLE LEAGUE

So, as you can see normaly every TEAM has PLAYERS. So for each team plays 2 players. So, let’s say a game TEAM A vs TEAM B.
TEAM A is combined with players Player A1 and Player A2
TEAM B is comnined with players Player B1 and Player B2

On the game they are playing on 3 winning sets – for example:
A1 : B2 3:0
A2 : B1 1:3
DOUBLES A1/A2 : B1:B2 2:3
A1 : B1 3:0
A2: B2 3:2

SO in TEAM LEAGUE, TEAM A won against TEAM B with result 3:2.
Win for TEAM A counts 3 points, for lost TEAM B gets 1 point.

Also in the same time points are also written in SINGLE LEAGUE for individual players.
Player gets 50 points for win and 10 points for defeat.

So we will have 2 leaguse tables: for teams and for players.
I have to tell you that I have done 2 groups of events – TEAM EVENTS (for team league) and SINGLE EVENTS (for scheduling matches beetween players).

Questions:
– In begining which sport I select table tennis ot any other or custom?
– FOR SEASON: I will add into Sportpress-Season the current season 2019/20 – correct?
– FOR LEAGUES: I will add 2 leagues into Sportpress-Leagues: TEAM LEAGUE and SINGLE LEAGUE – correct?
– FOR TEAMS: when I am adding teams I will check: TEAM LEAGUE and for season: 2019/20- correct?
– FOR PLAYERS: When I am adding players who plays for each team – for each player what do I have to choose – SINGLE LEAGUE or TEAM LEAGUE? Also, here for player must I put for which team he plays or leave blank? For season I will check current season 2019/20 – correct?

So, for results we would have to enter results for each player and would it generate auto results for teams or must we put results also for teams?

Any other useful tip?
