Hi thanks so much for this wonderful plugin!

I’m going to be getting a large list of customers coming in all at once in august. So I would like to batch import. I try over and over to upload the spreadsheet, either as .xlsx(excel) or .csv

No matter what I do I get some error that a column title was not correct. Even though I am spot on. Public Notes, or Notes Public never works. I tried removing the columns giving me the most problems and it worked with just name and email, But it did not appear on the Admin side where the Table is under Dashboard (and orders). It was blank. But when I searched for someone in the search bar they would come up. I am sure it has something to do with the option “show in admin table.” Is there a way to add it on the spreadsheet? Could you verify all the correct stock fields I should put in each column?

Thanks so much for your help
    I really appreciate it! =D

    Hi John,

Would you mind sending us an email with a copy of the spreadsheet you’re using to [email protected] so that we can take a look? We can also send you a copy of our current template.
Sometimes if you have added and deleted a column this can cause a problem so you could try creating a new document.

The columns that can be uploaded currently are:

    -Number
    -Name
    -Status
    -Display
    -Public Notes
    -Private Notes
    -Email

    Hope that helps!

I tried to import just a name in the plugin. Just one column with the name John. It was “successful” as in it’s in the system but there is nothing on the dashboard table and also no message saying success. The only way I know is by exporting the “invisible” list and it giving me a spreadsheet with the column name, and my row, John, followed by the other columns I did not add. The plugin has added these columns for me, which I would assume would be the correct order and spelling of those columns. So I filled in the rest of the row based on the column information it exported and when I import back in it does not recognize the “status” column. I tried Order Status, Status Order, Status, status and none of them took. Any ideas?

    Hi Sojohnnysaid,

Thanks for getting back to us. It would be easier for us to get an idea of what’s going on here if you would send us an email with a copy of the spreadsheet you’re using to [email protected] so that we can take a look? We can also send you a copy of our current template.

    Thanks!

So i thought maybe using the export to spreadsheet would give me all the correct fields. So I deleted all orders and then hit export orders to spreadsheet. This gave me a blank spreadsheet with all the columns named correctly (at least I thought since it came straight from the plugin). So the columns where named as followed from the export.

    Number
    Order Status
    Order Status Updated
    Display Notes Public
    Notes Private
    Email

I noticed it says not to use the word order. So i removed it.

    Number
    Status
    Status Updated
    Display Notes Public
    Notes Private
    Email

So now I did a test import with one row and the following error occurs:

You have a column which is not recognized: Status.
Please make sure that the column names match the order field labels exactly (without the word order).

So I deleted the columns I wasn’t using to see if that might work.

    Name
    Number
    Display Notes Public
    Notes Private
    Email

    now this error:
You have a blank column that has been edited.
Please delete that column and re-upload your spreadsheet.

This is super frustrating! I was hoping the update I saw this morning might deal with the issue. I just bought the upgrade. Help!

    Thanks
    John

    Hi sojohnnysaid,

“Show in Admin Table” wasn’t a field that could be uploaded in a spreadsheet previously. We’ve added it in though so that you can include it, and it should work with version 2.1.4 (just released).

    Hi afeishui,

The column name should be “Location”, and we just added it in version 2.6.8.

thank you very much . how about the name in spreadsheet of Update date . sometime I am just late to update the sheet and need to manually adjust the time .

Hi Rustaurius , I have tested the “Location” the column name works now ,however when I search by the tracking number ,The location details didnt show up .may you look into it ?
