    Hello,

Thanks for the great plugin! I am wondering if you know of a solution to having spreadsheet updates automatically refresh on a WordPress Page.

Currently if someone makes changes to my google spreadsheet, the changes are not reflected on the page on my blog unless I click “update” in the blog edit page.

I am hoping to have others make updates to the spreadsheet and have them update on my page automatically.

    Thanks
    Russ

I take it back…the updates do appear but it take several minutes to show up.

    Yup, you got it.

Just for anyone else wondering, it takes several minutes for Google to update the published copy of your spreadsheet. Since that’s the copy from Google that this plugin currently looks at (and not your editable copy), it will take the plugin however much time it takes Google to update the published copy. ??

    Meitar,

Thanks for the info. I have another issue that I will be happy to put up on a new thread, but is there any reason why the spreadsheet would not load if it is greater than X number of lines? I have a 4,200 line spreadsheet (8 columns) and it loaded fine before when it was just a few dozen lines but now my page will not even open.

    Thanks!

I don’t know, that could be a whole lot of things. In general, you should make sure you aren’t hitting any resource quotas by doing things like increasing PHP’s max_execution_time and max_input_time directives.

There’s no theoretical limit to the amount of data that can be parsed by the plugin itself. If you’re running into problems with large amounts of data, then you’ll need to make sure something else isn’t imposing some kind of limit. Good luck.
