    Hi all,

We are running a pay-your-bill page on our site. We are using WooCommerce, WooCommerce Square, and two other plugins. Everything is running fine, BUT in the TRANSACTIONS area of SQUARE, the DESCRIPTORS do not include the payee’s name, which is a real hassle if we get many online sales in a day.

Square says the payee descriptor is not part of the plugin. In The TRANSACTIONS area of SQUARE, we see the business name followed by an order number and the business name again.

    Thoughts?

    G.L.

    Hi @gregorypaullandry

The information shown in the transactions area of Square is determined by the data sent from the WooCommerce Square plugin during the transaction process. Currently, the plugin is designed to send the business name and order number as descriptors for each transaction.

Unfortunately, as Square has indicated, the payee’s name is not included as part of the plugin’s transaction data. This is a limitation of the current version of the plugin and we understand how this can be inconvenient in your case.

We always value feedback from our customers. Can you take a moment to submit a feature request at https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/square/#?

Rest assured; we’ll definitely consider your suggestion for future updates.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hi @gregorypaullandry

At WooCommerce, we are committed to providing the best possible service for our customers. However, custom development work, including adding specific hooks, is not part of our support offering.

We recommend reaching out to a reputable WooCommerce Customization Expert or agency for this type of service. You can find a list of trusted experts on our WooCommerce Customizations page or one of our official development partners called Codeable.io.

I hope this provides some clarity on the matter. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.
