SQL Database link to WP Site

    After working all day with about 10 different methods I finally got my Backup and Restore to work when I’m using the same site on the same server. I’ve tried to copy a different site and DB over the top of the current site to completely change it out. What file/s tells WP what DB to access? I have a site with a different name that I want to move to another site. I’ve tried Duplicator but I keep getting Server Error and GoDaddy can’t help. Their support for their products has been great but I need some help on where and what I change to change the DB. I already understand I Upload both the DB and the files.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
