    I’ve installed media-credit on https://aecnewstoday.com

    However, it is throwing a lot of MySQL error calls. This from my CGI error log:

    WordPress database error User ‘john’ has exceeded the ‘max_questions’ resource (current value: 75000) for query SELECT t.*, tt.* FROM wp_ojup_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_ojup_term_taxonomy AS tt ON t.term_id = tt.term_id WHERE tt.taxonomy = ‘nav_menu’ AND t.term_id = 12 LIMIT 1 made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), include(‘/themes/advanced-newspaper/archive.php’), get_header, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/advanced-newspaper/header.php’)

    Also, it’s not possible to add the link from the media upload dashboard or even from the media gallery. The only way to add the link is to insert the image into a post and then go to the advanced options.

    Is it possible to have the advanced options display in the upload and gallery panels in the future?

    Thank you

    Sorry about the debug output, version 2.5.1 has that line removed. The SQL error would appear to be unrelated to Media Credit, though.

    As for adding links to the library screen: Yes, that’s a good idea. I will see that it goes into the next major version.

    Hi Pepe,

    Appreciate the prompt reply. The MySQL errors stop if I turn the plugin off.

    Version 2.5.1 just pushed out so I’ll try it again, but I just checked the error log and it’s clean.

    OK, but it has to be some weird interaction with your theme caused by the debug output. That query has got nothing to do with Media Credit.

    As for the link feature, it will be included in 2.6.0 which will be released after WP 4.3. You can try out the development version if you like.

    Hi Pepe,
    Thanks very much. The 2.5.1 update stopped the MySQL errors.

    How stable is the development version currently?

    Thanks again.

    Should be completely stable.

    In that case I would love to play with the development version.

    Is there any risk we’ll lose the links already there if we deactivate the existing plugin before activating the development version?

    Thanks!

    Awesome. Thanks very much. How do I get it?

    We’re building a newspaper, AEC News Today, so our photo credits are critical.

    Sorry to get back so late, I missed the question. You can download the development version from here. However, I released 2.6.0 yesterday, it should be visible under Updates already.

    Hi Pepe,

    I’ve already installed the update thanks.

    I had to add `.media-credit {
    margin-right: 20px;
    }’

    Could you add a no follow and open in another window buttons in the dashboard in the future?

    I’ve already indicated that it works in the plugin home page and your great support.

    Thanks very much!

    “Open in another window” sounds like a good idea, but if you want to nofollow, you’ll have to add a filter yourself. (Personally, I think it’s kinda disrespectful to add a nofollow’ed link to the photographer/artist when using their image. Might be different with larger agencies, but than again, the filter hook is already there anywaay.)

    We add nofollow where it doesn’t matter such as government sources. We don’t take from blogs because of respect for copyright – which is more than 95 per cent of publications do in SE Asia – especially the government ones ??

    Anyway, thanks very much!
