Typically issues like this are caused by either a conflict with the theme or with another plugin as some of the processes as checkout is being interrupted.

I would suggest a theme and plugin conflict test as explained at https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

I confirm the same error with latest version of your plugin and WP 4.9.6 with default theme twenty-seven, changing the theme makes no difference. Our square account is active and the location is confirmed. Square support have directed back to woocommerce. would like this fixed or some way to test this further.

Further, to save some time i can confirm every plugin is deactivated leaving only woocommerce and your square plugin are active, same result. ??

Just a followup, what fixed it was to disconnect square, log into square in the same browser, connect square in wordpress and ensure there is a test product of at least $1. Worked.

Thank you jkeysemg this helped me, too. I noticed there was no location chosen and was not able to choose one. I disconnected square through woocommerce and reconnected and it went through.

Was working for a while, then just stopped (maybe on plugin update or something)?
