Hello, I have a situation where these two plugins are conflicting. Separately they work but together it throws off the inventory.

First I am running Wordpres, Woocommerce, Square for Woocommerce and WP-Lister Pro for eBay and all are up to date on a Linux server running Apache and PHP 7.4.

Woocommerce is my system of record and all inventory updates nicely on Square (it is used as a POS in-store).

    These are my settings:

Sync inventory Enable to push inventory changes to Square is checked.

Everything has been working for a few weeks with no issues. Now that we have introduced eBay it has stopped working because when an item is removed from Woocommerce Inventory, by eBay due to sale, the stock is correct for a few minutes but when square runs its check it adds the stock back thereby making the inventory on eBay and woocommerce wrong.

Are there any settings I may have missed? When we set a product to not sync with square there are no issues with the inventory except the inventory at the physical store now is not correct.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hey @prowl00,

Thanks for reaching out. Inventory management with Square can be confusing. The key concept when it comes to inventory management with Square is that Square is always the source of truth about inventory levels.

Even when WooCommerce is the system of record the “correct” stock levels are considered to be at Square. The reason is WooCommerce can update Square whenever there is a sale to adjust stock levels but Square doesn’t have a way to notify WooCommerce when there is a sale on that side. WooCommerce has to check for updates from Square periodically. That’s when your stock levels are being overwritten.

It is possible to update the stock levels on the WooCommerce side but it has to be a manual process. The product has to be edited and the stock fetched from Square. Then the stock level can be changed and synced back to Square. The only other way for WooCommerce to send a stock level to Square is when a new product is created.

Most likely, you’ll need a way to sync eBay directly with Square. Otherwise, any changes pushed to WooCommerce from eBay will be lost the next time Square syncs.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    Thanks!
