Squirrel Lite Custom Logo upload looks wonky

I have a custom logo I am trying to upload on the logo/header section – it loads fine, but there is a LOT of space above and below it – looks like it is floating in space –
Not entirely strong in coding and I am reluctant to mess with the css style sheet until I know what I need to do for sure here.
I am assuming this is the code I need to change:
.header .logo {
margin:23px 0 21px 23px;
}
