SRG Clean Archives and WordPress 2.3 (Please help testing)

  • I’ve been doing some testing and SRG Clean Archives version 4.1 seems solid for WordPress 2.3 with my testing but it would be nice to have some other users test it as well before the official 2.3 release in two days.

    The plugin can be downloaded here.

    Be sure to download version 4.1 as I do have an older version as well for people still using the 2.0.x branch or WordPress.

    Please report any quirks here.

  • I’ve been running that plugin on both of my sites since 2.3-alpha, and it’s working fine. I’m currently on RC1, and it’s still working fine on both blogs. Hope that helps. =)

    Thanks spencerp. It does help. I’ll leave the thread open a little longer to see if anyone else chimes in.

    If not, I’ll up the version number and add it to the confirmed WordPress 2.3 working plugin list.

    I just installed SRG Clean Archives 4.2, and I’m having an issue with the “Detailed Monthly Archives” link.

    When you click on the link it successfully expands the previously hidden archive, but it also transports you to the monthly archive page right afterward.

    You never get to check out the expanded archive list because the link doesn’t keep you on the same page.

    I noticed that the plugin demo page is having the same issue.

    Any advice?

    That’s exactly the point:
    1. You click on the month name ==> expand
    2. you click on the “detailed” link ==> it takes you to the detailed monthly archives (i.e. the normal monthly archives)

    Ah, got it. At the risk of looking like a total idiot, I assumed the links would have done the opposite.

    @moshu: thanks for explaining the plugin ?? functionality. I tried to make it easy to understand, but it seems a few don’t get it.

    Maybe I should add a little more space between month and detailed link?

    Also, heads up to all, the plugin project page and download link has been relocated, so to keep up to date, go to this page.

    How exactly do I get this plug-in going? I just want to have an unordered list of Archives with a sub-list of the articles in my sidebar. Where exactly do I place the function call code?
