Ssearch bar dissapears when Enable widget area in right of Topbar

Hiya any ideas how i can stop the search bar from dissapearing from the top bar when I turn on the option: Enable widget area in right of Topbar?

I can style and move the search bar but it just always dissapears when I enable the topbar widget.
