    Hi,
I wonder if you could help me SSL my site up. I have a publicly facing URL through googledomains that’s pointing at a up to date wordpress instance, but SSL Zen fails on enablement with the following error:

    SSL certificate cannot be installed!
Due to technical limitations, it’s currently not possible to install SSL certificate on an IP address or a localhost. Please install the plugin on a publicly facing, worldwide unique domain name such as sslzen.com and try again.

I’ve used two browsers, Chrome and Edge over 24 hours, to see the same error each time.

I’ve just migrated the URL over to this machine, is there something in WordPress I need to configure before i can get the cert from SSL Zen?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @newtob,

There are not enough details available for your site to check the problem. If you could reach us via SSL Zen website beacon or drop us a mail with details, we’d be happy to help you out.

    Hi,
I never received an answer over email so I dug in and solved the problem myself.

The server is based of a bitnami build, one that is pretty locked down. Luckily they have their own SSL cert system, a CLI tool called bncert , that did the trick.

    Thanks anyway,
    B
