SSL connection timeout on Google Share Counter

All other shares work except for my Google+. The count stays at 0. So I went into simple-share-buttons-adder.php and on line 980 I echoed the error message for $json_string($error_message = $json_string->get_error_message();)

And the error that I got was “SSL connection timeout“.

Any ideas?
