    Hi,

We’re moving hempoffset.com to Google Cloud hosting. When we created a new, blank WP instance on GCP, with a cert made by certbot, https was fine. When we uploaded the site, including Really Simple SSL, we get security warnings:

    •  You already have a valid SSL certificate.
    •  The PHP function cURL has successfully been detected.
    • ?The Hosting Panel software was not recognised. Depending on your hosting provider, the generated certificate may need to be installed manually.

    Any advice much appreciated, thanks!

These seem notices from the let’s encrypt installation wizard. As you already have certbot ssl, you can skip this and activate ssl straight away.

@rogierlankhorst Thanks for your help, Roger. Would you mind breaking it down for us non WP experts, please? Do we control the SSL from the plugin or do we also set up an SSL on GCP with load balancer, A records etc.?

    Hi @garytao,

If you have already generated and installed an SSL certificate with certbot, you do not have to generate an additional SSL certificate with the Let’s Encrypt Wizard in Really Simple SSL.

Instead, you can simply “enforce” the existing SSL certificate that you created with certbot on your WordPress website, by clicking Activate SSL in the SSL dashboard.

    Kind regards, Jarno
