  • I’m no expert, but it seems to be a warning that indicates there is non-https content being served in an https page request. The urls for the non https content are included in the error message. I think you might find that internet explorer usually behaves in a similar manner, with a similar warning that pops up when non-secure content is included in a secure page request. Note the “load anyway” option. Same context menu usually appears in the IE dialog.

    True, but, like other plugins, the js could be properly enqueued to be served via SSL preventing the error from appearing at all.

    The js is enqueued properly. The URL for the files is obtained from the WordPress WP_PLUGIN_URL constant
