SSL fix

Hi just agreeing with this closed thread that it seems this plugin is not working with SSL

Is there any way to fix this so that this previously awesome, easy, no nonsense plugin continues to work?

Or have other users come across similarly awesome plugin that simply embeds pdfs just by adding the link to pdf on its own line, so I don’t have to rewrite all the links in this old library?
