• Hi,
I recently got an ssl for my site…good, but it caused all kinds of problems with the new standard on the browsers showing insecure content. This plug in was great and it fixed 90% of the problem. I’m going to leave a nice review next.Just to help someone else that might be reading this I’ll describe what I did. I had problems with links that were hard coded on pages and posts. They had to be manually corrected, as did a lot of content where the links were in the settings of other plugins…like shopping carts. The documentation that the author of the plug in supplied were great in working on the problem especially how to use the browser tools to find your problem and the site “Why no Padlock?” was a big help. I also used the find and replace plugin and that was a big help. So, I got it all fixed except for a few things.
    My site is htpps://catrinasgarden.com/
First the feed. When I click on that I get the ! but entering the address in why no padlock it says there is nothing wrong. Does this even matter if this page is not secure?
Next pictures. This was partially a http vs. https problem and I think I have that fixed but there was also a problem with the www. part of the name. My host issued the ssl to htpps://www.catrinasgarden.com when my site is really at htpps://catrinasgarden.com. I talked to them and got that fixed, but all of the pictures that are entered directly on the pages and posts have the www. so they still get the !. So I have 2 questions really. Does this matter? Will having it like this make my site more vulnerable to hackers or could I just leave it? Maybe having the pictures show as insecure would make them less likely to be stolen.
If I do decide to fix this it would be a lot of work to take out all of the www. manually. Can I use the find and replace plug in for this?
Thanks for any help you can give me on finishing up this project.
    Catrina
