SSL issue for facebook page and easy facebook like box

    I noticed that there is a scurity issue using this plugin, in that the SSL certificate is untrusted.

    I have searched for this and found in Js console the following error:

    Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App’s settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App’s domains.

    After googling it it seems this is a common problem with a facebook App setting. I’m a little confused because I don’t have a facebook app and only a facebook page with the url put into the easy like box.

    Any ideas on how I can fix this please?

    I’m not even using an App id on the Easy like box and just the facebook page url.

    I just want to clarify..
    Is this something I need to do? I have used fb like box on many other websites (but none of them have an SSL certificate) without having to register an app and simply use my fb page url.

    Hi,

    Yes I know its optional setting but some times you need to have it.

    The error you posted is due to app settings.

    Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App’s settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App’s domains.

    Also post the link of your website so I can see the issue myself.

    Thank you. This seems to have done it.

    Although i seems strange because I’m using my clients facebook page as the url but created an app in my profile and added the website url and new app id. Now it seems to work fine and theres no ssl issue or errors.
