    Dear Sir/Madam,

Nice work, must appreciate the tutorial video as well.

After activating the Plug-in on the folloing link
    Paid Member Subscriptions-Payment
    it says:

Your website doesn’t seem to have SSL enabled. Some functionality will not work without a valid SSL certificate. Please enable SSL and ensure your server has a valid SSL certificate.

If I am using Paypal payment gateway why SSL is required? Is it not possible to make it work without SSL?

    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Prasad

  • Hello Prasad,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The SSL Certificate is mandatory when using PayPal as explained in our docs.

According to PayPal’s Announcement, Instant Payment Notification (IPN) has been/will be updated to https for added security. Because IPN is used for all PayPal payments, you will need to ensure that HTTPS is used when posting the message back to PayPal for verification. HTTP postbacks will no longer be supported.

An SSL certificate is required by 19 January 2016 for Sandbox testing and by 30 September 2016 for all PayPal transactions.

    Best regards,
