Hello, first time testing your plugin and I was able to get the test data to show up in the settings.

However, my site is using SSL and every time when I go to your settings page I need to tell my browser to “Show all Content” because only secure content is displayed currently.

Do you think you can update your plugin to handle https:// websites?

I haven’t been able to get the actual data to appear on my pages as yet but will have to read through the other issues in Support to see if I am getting anything similar.

    Thanks.

    Hello, cryogenn.

Thanks for trying ScrapeAZon. Good question. I will add support for HTTPS sites to the list of additions/changes for the next version. Let me know if I can be of further assistance in the meantime.

    Thanks again for using ScrapeAZon.

Hi, finally got around to testing the plugin. I tried the short code on a “normal post” and it worked fine but is it possible to get the short codes to work on a “review tab” of a Woocommerce site?

So basically the product is listed, and there are a few tabs under the product, “Description”, “Additional” and “Reviews”.

I was trying to incorporate your short code there so that the Amazon reviews can be shown under that Review tab. Currently I am unable to get the content to show, even after using the same short code that worked in the post.

So is this a limitation of the plugin or of how WordPress or WooCommerce works?

    Thanks.

    Hi, cryogenn.

I have never tested the plugin in Woocommerce, so I cannot say with any certainty why the plugin isn’t working under the Woocommerce tabs. I can tell you that the plugin has been implemented successfully in several different themes that either use tabbed elements or are configured with plugins that generate tabs.

Amazon’s Product Advertising API returns a source URL for an iframe. All the ScrapeAZon plugin really does is receive that URL and display that content in an iframe element.

You might check with Woocommerce to first determine whether shortcodes can be used on their tabs and, if so, test to see whether iframes can be used on Woocommerce tabs.

    Thanks again for trying ScrapeAZon.

Okay thanks a lot, I will go that route and see what they say.
