Hi. The plugins pinterest share icon at the moment doesn’t work with lazy load plugins, due to the fact that they add a data attribute base 64 encoded to the image src. So unless you have already scrolled to the bottom of the page and loaded all the images, the button doesn’t work. Is there a way of excluding them by the data attribute so when you click the pin icon it uses only the images that are loaded at the time?

Just to provide more info, the image tag when not loaded .ie below the fold contains the src attribute as src=”data:image/gif;base64,R01GODlgAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALABBBAAEAAAICTAEAOw==” for example, but the data src attribute contains the image link as normal so that could be used by the pinterest sharing function instead in these cases. I just haven’t found where in your scripts this aspect is handled.

    Hi,

Would you let us know your website url with our plugin enabled so that we can check what’s going on?

Yep so check here: luxzura.com/afold/shop/sheepskin-rugs/tibetan-sheepskin-rug-single-pelt/ If you don’t scroll to bottom first pinterest wont work from your plugin, you can then scroll and see that it does.

The error seems to be in pinmarklet.js which is Pinterest’s official Javascript library to make Pin functionality work, that our plugin uses. We will see if something can be done at our plugin level to fix it.

Yeah, I thought it might be, or their grid.js script. I have sent an email to them about it. Thanks for looking into this.

Okay. Great. Do let us know if you find something that can be done at our plugin level to fix this.

Not really getting anywhere with them, have you found a way to fix it at all?

As we mentioned earlier, it is something related to how their script handles this situation. We will post here if something could be done at our plugin level.
Did you contact lazy load plugin support if they can do something about it or what they think about it?
