So I messed up and updated events calendar without backing up my site.

I’m not well versed in wordpress and the site I’m administering is running WordPress 4.6.12.

This has resulted in the following error Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/XXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php on line 2288.

Since I don’t dare updating WordPress I want to roll back to the version of events calendar I was previously running, only I don’t know which one that was.

I’d really appreciate some help here.

  • Hi, pitrus,

We do have our previous versions available for download. I looked up WP 4.6.12 and it looks like it was released July 5, 2018.

Going through the previous versions of The Events Calendar, it looks like you might try using version 4.6.20, which came out on July 9, 2018.

Here are instructions on how to find the previous versions of our plugins:

    Good luck!

Thank you so much for the speedy response Mike, I’ll give it a shot and get back to you!

Edit: Quick question, when I delete the plugin before installing the older version, will all current events be deleted in the process?

    Hello again, pitrus.

When you uninstall The Events Calendar, your events are not deleted. They should stay intact.
