Stacked posts / grid – how to create – 1 column

We’re looking to create a page that has a grid stacked one above the other. Image on the left, title and text on the right. When you click on the image, it opens larger (lightbox style).

I’ve tried with Essential Grid following their tutorial but their suggestion is to customize and is not a built in skin, didn’t go well. I also have the free version of Huge IT Lightbox which is ok but a bit wonky – take a look at our test page…https://www.absolutept.com/electric-stimulation-patterns/ .

Any suggestions, tutorial links, plugins that would easily do this? Seems like this should be easy but I’m drawing a blank….
