Staff cannot leave shift (JSON Error) | 3.1.2

On our website – staff cannot leave a shift
When they try to leave a shift they get the JSON error:“Unrecognized JSON from //[site-url]/?hcs=shiftcontroller&hca=/release/edit/update/8191”
(Now every shift must be released by admin or manager.)
