    Hi Malcolm

Our patrons are now getting this message when trying to access our website:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class stageshowlibsalespluginbaseclass in /home/torbaytheatre/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stageshowgold/include/stageshowlib_salesplugin.php on line 37

This is a very important and busy time for us, with the current show opening in three days! Can you please help?

    Thanks,
    Graham

  • I’ve nothing to do with Stageshow but am monitoring this forum as I’m thinking of adding Stageshow to our Cinema website. As a matter of interest (and I’m from the UK), I checked out your site (www.torbaytheatre.com) and found no such error. I reserved two seats for 1 adult and 1 child and went through to the Paypal login page. All seemed to work so this may be a temprorary error which has now resolved? I was disapointed to not see you making use of seat reservations within Stageshow Gold as this is one thing I am very interested in and am trying to look at differenmt implementations……………….

    Hi Graham,

I have also just had a look at your website and I don’t see any issue. I hope this was a short lived bug and you are now sorted.

Rogerd202, Malcolm the Dev has a demo page here where you can register and use your own space to test all the GOLD version for yourself. I would highly recommend this plugin as I have managed to create some very complex seating plans, plus there are also some examples in the demo.

Thanks for the info Chris. I have tried out the demo and created a seating plan similar to what I need. I haven’t played with it too much as I lacked time to try and shift the layout to be exactly what is required but I just wanted to look at some examples. If you have any example links please let me know. One thing that is delaying me implementing Stageshow into the site is the time involved in modifying a working site and managing the changeover from how we currently do it. As we are a volunteer run organisation, saving money is my prime objective without the changeover process taking over my life……..

    Hi Roger and Chris

My apologies for the tardy reply.

The problem was intermittent – it just affected the website for up to five hours at a time and then mysteriously went away. However, it was happening once every few days and was certainly frustrating our patrons.

I found that in my website’s control panel I was able to tweak the amount of memory allocated to PHP, and increased it from 128MB to the maximum (512MB). Since then everything has been running smoothly ?? I hope this tip helps someone else.

@roger: I highly recommend StageShow Gold. It works really well for our community theatre, and by using an ODBC connection to the online MySQL database, I have integrated it beautifully with my existing offline booking database. The best thing is that Malcolm is extremely responsive to requests for support and suggestions for improvements. Many of my suggested enhancements have already been implemented.

    Best wishes,
    Graham
