Hi, the process is showing as 100% complete but it seems to be stuck on step 3 (cloning) – it just shows the arrow circling around and has been like that for 4 hrs.

It appears to be tied to the following error: [ERROR]-[2018/06/07 20:20:41] Preparing Data Step5: Failed to update table_prefix in /our-domain/web/content/cp-staging1/wp-config.php. Can’t read contents

I have temporary changed the file permission on wp-config.php to 755 and 750 but that hasn’t had any effect.

The staging directory is showing so some progress has been made, but when I pull up the login link it’s asking me to walk through a new wordpress installation, which I don’t think is the correct step.

    Any troubleshooting suggestions?

    Thank you.
    Robb.

    Hi @npmg,

give the file domain/web/content/cp-staging1/wp-config.php permission 644.

    Is this working?

Please also check if the file domain/web/content/cp-staging1/wp-config.php has been created at all.

    Hi Rene,

Thanks for the quick reply, amazing! I altered the file permissions but there doesn’t appear to be any change. I haven’t refreshed the staging page though, I’ve just been letting it spin.

Also, no, no sign of the wp-config.php file in the staging directory.

    Robb.

    Hi Robb @npmg,

    > Also, no, no sign of the wp-config.php file in the staging directory.

this seems to be the real issue.

    Try the following:

Go to wp-content/uploads/wp-staging/ remove there the file “clone_options”

You can do that with FTP program.

    Then try it again.

If this is still not working, could you send me a mail with details about your site to support [at] wp-staging.com?
