    Hi,

I was just working on my staging site to update my site and when I changed the home page from static to latest posts, the page redirected to the site preview and everything was reverted back to the old site.

Now, whenever I log back into the site and try to go to the staging site, it takes me to the live site and gives me a 404 error.

Did I just lose all of my work? How can I log back into my staging site?

Ok, this setting is obviously not working for you.

What tutorial did you follow for installing your wordpress in a subdirectory?
    Is it this? https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

Please send me via mail your index.php and wp-config.php (Remove your credentials from this file first!!!).

Your WP site seems to be very special and different from usual WP installations so i want to have a look on it.

Ok, I’m sending over the files via email. However, I’m not sure what you mean by removing the credentials. It doesn’t look like there’s any sensitive information in the files.

I have a feeling my unique issue stems from using an old version of WordPress. We’re on 3.6 still, which is why I set up the staging site in the first place. I don’t want to update anything or have anything change until it’s 100% on the staging site and we push it live. My staging sites have everything up-to-date now.

I sent over the files and the login credentials via email yesterday. Just so I can schedule when I can continue working on the site, when do you think you’ll be able to take a look?
