Staging site not working

    I let tech support make my staging site. It has had lots of problems. First, all the plug-ins vanished and I had to put them back in. Now I find that any new photos I upload will not show. The URL for the photo looks fine. If I click “edit image” the image shows up, but it will not show anywhere else. If I click on “view attachment page” I get a 404.

    I uploaded the same images to the working site and they appeared just fine.

    The techs seemed to have lots of problems just creating the staging site. I had to call four times.

    I wonder if it would be feasible to just delete the staging site and make a new one. Maybe I can get my themes and plugins back. Or should I try to fix this one.

    do you mean with tech us? I can not remember that we were speaking to each other.

    Did we have contact by mail? In that case please send me another mail to support [at] wp-staging.com So am able to help you with your staging site.

    Anyways, it’s often easier to just create a new staging site when something does not work as intended. Please also mal sure that you run latest version of wp staging plugin.

    Hi Rene:

    This was not meant for you personally. I spoke with my web host and actually called 6 times over two days. I spoke with a different person each time.

    This is about making a staging site through my web host and Word Press and how the information I got was incorrect since the new 5.0 upgrade is still in beta.

    I don’t think the plug in is the problem. I think my web host people don’t know what they are doing.

    I now see why you were confused. I didn’t realize you were talking about your plugin. Perhaps I posted to the wrong forum.

    My hosting company created the staging site for me without a plug in. I would like to delete their botched up job and start over. I have since discovered and downloaded your plug in but I still need to delete the other staging site first.
