    Hi @storyboard2023

To ensure we are on the same page, are you seeing an order attribution from a staging site instead of your live site? If yes, this can happen if testing is done on the staging site and an order is placed there.

Please note that WooCommerce will attribute orders to the domain where they were originally placed. If you want all your orders to be attributed to your live site, ensure that all transactions and activities are carried out on the live site.

If you continue to see orders attributed to your staging site, it might be worth checking whether any of your site’s settings or plugins are redirecting traffic or orders to it.

I hope this provides some clarity. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

are you seeing an order attribution from a staging site instead of your live site? – Yes, but there wasn’t any testing or orders placed on the staging site that created this order or any other orders. This order came unexpectedly and directly between our other live orders with no testing involved. What’s stranger is that Stripe confirmed it’s metadata for the order was from our live site sunrealgroup.com.

If you continue to see orders attributed to your staging site, it might be worth checking whether any of your site’s settings or plugins are redirecting traffic or orders to it. – Again, we haven’t had any other staging site orders come through and now we can’t resend this order’s email notification because the domain is suppressed. Is there an alternative or suggestion to being able to resend the order email notification for a staging origin order?

    Hi @storyboard2023,

    Referral: WordPress-211573-3421693.cloudwaysapps.comHide details?Source type

This doesn’t mean the order was placed in the staging site, but it means the user went from the staging site to your main site and then placed an order.

    Here’s an example

As you can see I was on one of my test sites, in this case I used the external product type and linked to another test sites of mine so I placed the order in the second site, so it shows in the Origin site as referral.

    I hope this clarifies things!

okay but how can I resend an email notification so I receive this website order as an email?

We got this error last time: “Valid Sender Domains Only is enabled and the sender domain is not validated. Please see your domain settings to control this behavior.”

    Hi @storyboard2023,

okay but how can I resend an email notification so I receive this website order as an email?

You can resend the new order notification email by going to the Order Actions section (on the right panel), make sure to select the proper option and then click the little arrow as highlighted here:

We got this error last time: “Valid Sender Domains Only is enabled and the sender domain is not validated. Please see your domain settings to control this behavior.”

Can you share more details about this, please? Where did you get this email? Can you share a screenshot of it, please? I want to fully understand the issue.

    Thanks!

Additionally, I received this email from Google Cloud that may show the reason for a redirection to our staging site?

    Dear Google Cloud customer,

You’ve received an important Google Cloud notification affecting your resource,?story-board.ca’s Google Cloud service(s). Notification Title:?[Security Alert]: Polyfill.io Issue for Google Maps Platform users.

    What happened

We have become aware of a security issue that may be affecting websites using specific third-party libraries (including polyfill.io). This issue can sometimes redirect visitors away from the intended website without website owner knowledge or permission, or potentially cause other malicious behavior. Many of the Maps JavaScript API samples in the Developer Documentation previously included a polyfill.io script declaration. We have removed this from those samples. If you have used the Maps JavaScript API samples that contain this declaration, we recommend removing the declaration.

    Hi @storyboard2023

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

I received this email from Google Cloud that may show the reason for a redirection to our staging site?

It appears so, as polyfill.io is listed as a badware site, as I see.

I’ve tried this. Please see images attached of error when trying to resend notification.

Best to go ahead with setting up an email SMTP provider at the site. Linked here is the official documentation, for reference.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

    Hi @storyboard2023

Why would we need SMTP if we already use elastic email provider through Gravity forms? What does this mean?

We suggested using an SMTP plugin to resolve the error message shown in the resend notification: “Valid Sender Domains Only is enabled, and the sender domain is not validated. Please see your domain settings to control this behavior.”

However, if you think the error isn’t a problem and you’re still receiving mail, you don’t need to configure any SMTP plugin.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
